We bill monthly based on time sheets and work on up to 40 different projects in a month. it would be great if the program would batch print time sheets on separate sheets instead of one after another on the same sheet so the time sheets could be sent out with the invoices.

A few ideas:

1. When an invoice is marked as "Paid" if the software could send an automated e-mail confirming "payment received."
2. When e-mailing an invoice the software could also populate the subject and body of the e-mail with customizable information from the invoice. (ie: variables for Company Name, Invoice Number, etc.)
3. The invoice period (ie: last week, last month) could have an additional option: "Since last invoice"
4. Ability to invoice in quarter, half, or whole hours and the software would automatically round up to that setting on the invoices (also have another post about this, but wanted to put it here also just in case).

Excellent software, nice interface and usable features (timer is especially nice)! Thanks for developing it. :)

Hi, we've just started our (dutch) company (SAP Consultancy) today and were going to use ETT for billing.

during the configuration I missed some features which would be a definite plus if they were added in the next release:

task:
- task assignment to one or more users
- task filtering in ETT Web based on this assignment, this will degrease the number of task in ETT Web presentation to a match on the user that is logged in, now everyone has a large dropdown with all tasks with no respect to the user logged in.
- task enable/disable, disabled ísn't visbile in ETT Web
- task activating in ETT Web based on start/end date in task, so I won't be able to enter hours outside this range
- invoice type/template per customer customizible, so not every billing run I have to reset these values again

customization of invoice layout:
- possible to change the font of TAX lines, these are now hard coded and always in Arial 10 Italic.
- possible to change the font of item lines, these are now hard coded and always in Arial 10.
- possbile to add currency key (i.e. EURO sign) to the amount fields, now I have to add a commentary line 'All amounts are in EUR.)
- possbile to add a footer line just above the page numbering
- possbile to set customer specific body texts, comming from customer data

Any of these requested features will be grately appreciated when the become available.

Thanks in advance!

Options for viewing invoices are currently: this week, last week, this month, last month, this year

Kind of inconvenient when you are in the beginning of a new year, no easy way to quickly switch to say the last 6 months other than using select and setting the date range.

It would be nice if whatever you set those view options to, they would be remembered from one session of the program to the next. They have to be set each time.

Also, a View All Unpaid Invoices option would be nice, regardless of date range.

Time Tracking - Time Logs and Expenses sections - remember option settings here also

Also when you create an invoice, I'd like to see a toolbar button for Save & Close, now there is a save toolbar icon, but to do a Save & Close you have to go to the menu.

Minor issues I know, they just would enhance the usability.

Sort invoices in reverse order
As more and more invoices are added, it makes more sense to have the most recent ones at the top rather than having to scroll down every time. Or remember the last sort order applied when you come back to the invoices screen.

View all unpaid invoices
Option to easily view these from the filter section, regardless of date range, include all unpaid.

Payments
When you click to add a payment, have it default the payment amount to the value of the invoice so you can just add the payment without typing in a number.

Left Column Icons
Drag and stay in position where you put them, so you can move the most used options into the order you want, generally more used near the top.

Save and Close icon on the invoice page
There's currently a save icon, but it doesn't close the window. It's available from the menu, but would just be more handy as an icon.

In the Projects & Tasks list, be able to right click a project or client and have the option to create an invoice, so it would go to the invoice section with that client/project selected.
